What happens to your address.

You gave us a handle and an email so we could send you one document. This page is the whole account of what we hold, why we hold it, who else sees it, and how to make it go away. If anything here contradicts something we said on the front page, this page is the one that is wrong, and we want to hear about it.

What we store when you use the form

Three things you typed, and four things your browser sends to every website you visit.

platformWhich of the three platforms the account is on: YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. Either you picked it, or we read it from the link you pasted. We ask because the same handle is taken on all three, and guessing would mean reading a stranger’s account and sending you a checklist about videos you never made.
handleThe handle or link you typed. It is what we read to write the checklist.
emailThe address you typed. It is where the checklist goes.
countryThe two-letter country your request came from. Not a city, not an address.
source, refererWhich link brought you here, if any, so we know which post is working.
user_agentBrowser and operating system, as your browser announces them.
ip_hashNot your IP address. A one-way hash of it with a secret salt, so the same sender can be counted twice within fifteen minutes and stopped from flooding the form. The address itself is never written down and the hash cannot be turned back into one.
created_atThe moment you sent it, which is when the 72 hours start.

There is no tracking pixel on this site, no analytics script, no advertising tag and no cookie. Nothing on the page follows you off it. The only network request the page makes on its own is to Google Fonts, for the three typefaces it is set in.

What we read about you

Only what your account already shows the public: your uploads, their titles and descriptions, their view counts and dates, what you say in them, and the links in your bio. We read it the way any visitor would, while logged out.

We never ask for account access, a login, a password, a wallet or a payment method, and there is no situation in which we will. If a message claiming to be from us asks for any of those, it is not from us.

What the address is used for

Sending you the checklist, and replying if you write back. That is the whole list.

You are not being added to a sequence, a newsletter or a drip. There is no second email that arrives a week later to see if you have thought about it. We do not sell, rent, trade or share the address with anyone buying lists.

Who else touches it

Three companies, each doing one job, none of them given the data for their own use.

  • Cloudflare serves this page and holds the database the form writes to. The data stays in Cloudflare's network.
  • Resend carries the notification telling us a request came in, and later carries your checklist.
  • Notion holds the working copy we use to keep track of which checklists are written and which are not.

All three are outside the EU and the UK. If you are writing from there, that is an international transfer, and these are the standard contractual clauses each of them publishes on their own site.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until twenty-four months pass with no contact between us, whichever comes first. At twenty-four months it goes without being asked.

Getting it deleted

Write to [email protected] from the address you gave us and say the word delete. Nothing else is needed - no form, no reason, no account to log into.

It is done within seven days and we write back to say so. Deleted means the row is gone from the database and the copy is gone from Notion, not that a flag is set somewhere.

The same address will get you a copy of everything we hold on you, a correction if something is wrong, or an answer to any question about this page. If you are in the EU or the UK you have those rights by law; here you have them regardless of where you are writing from, because there is no version of this where refusing would be defensible.

Children

The offer is for people running an account as a business. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If a request comes from someone younger, tell us and it is deleted the same day.

Changes to this page

The date at the top changes when the page does. If a change ever widens what we do with your address rather than narrowing it, everyone who has given us one gets an email before it takes effect, not after.
